Ned Rifle

Completing the trilogy that Hal Hartley began 17 years ago with Henry Fool (1997) and Fay Grim (2006), this kickstarter funded project continues Hartley's deep independence. Rifle, the son of these earlier protagonists raised instead by devout Christians, sets out for revenge against the father (Fool) whom he believes led to the imprisonment of his mother (Grim). A quest replete with philosophical dialogues and other Hartley characteristics, with a femme fatale who complicates all our lives.
